Hobby at Shapwick. Virtually all the ones left here at this time of year are 2nd calendar year birds. A bit scruffy!

Waders at Berrow. It's great to watch them at close range, though sad to have to upload such pathetically small images. These look great at much larger sizes but you'll have to do with these web optimised images.

Some better Iberian Chiffchaff in slightly better light.

This Iberian Chiffchaff at Wentwood was well found by Bristol trio Andy and Jon Pym and Chris Trott - nice one boys! It performed well this evening, even if the photographer didn't.

Bittern and Hobby from Shapwick. There were zillions of Hobbies at Shapwick today and it wouldn't take much effort to get some shots considerably better than this one. I may try again soon if the sky remain blue.

A little bit distant, though the four Wood Sandpiper on Tealham Moor continued my good run of waders at this site.
