An amazing week on the Isles of Scilly. Those people who suggest that Scilly has had its day really ought to stop moaning and stay away from the place. During the week we saw Scarlet Tanager, Wilson's Snipe, Northern Waterthrush, Red-eyed Vireo, Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper, White-rumped Sandpiper, Spotted Crake, Dusky Warbler, Yellow-browed Warblers, Richard's Pipit, Lapland Bunting, Snow Buntings, Central Asian Lesser Whitethroat, Siberian Chiffchaff. Also on the island but we didn't go and see or missed were Radde's Warbler, Pallas' Warbler and Red-breasted Flycatcher. Thanks again to all the visiting and local birders who made the week so much fun.

A nice juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper on the Huntspill Sea Wall. Nice and close but totally the wrong side of the sun.
