November 2014

29 November 2014

A day out to photograph Black Redstart at Brean and Rose-coloured Starling was semi successful. The starling took ages to show but eventually it put on a performance.

23-24 November 2014

I found a lively Yellow-browed Warbler at Berrow today, when a few locals arrived, an equally showy Weasel emerged from the bushes. It was difficult to know where to look!

22 November 2014

The various Siberian Chiffchaffs at Apex/Brue Estuary were showing well, with this one getting really close. I managed an in focus shot of its head!

15 November 2014

Yeah, it's just a Meadow Pipit and the image is tiny, so you can't tell, but blimey, this new cameras going to be good!

9 November 2014

I'm not sure why but Iike Siberian Chiffchaffs, I think they are under-rated! I've always wanted better photos, so this bird at the Brue Estuary justified some time with my new camera. Have to say the camera's bloody amazing - if I has it last weekend those Pallid shots would be miles, miles, better!

2 November 2014

The Pallid Harrier at Steart has the decency to hang around until we got back from Scilly - cheers for that! Hearing that the bird had been occasionally difficult we felt pleased to see the bird from the car park almost as we got out the car. About half an hour later it showed amazingly well from the Parrett bank for quite a while before drifting off to the west. I think they call that luck!
